Making a combined bday party for my daughter and step-daughters

I've been married for 9 months now and having difficulty planning out either an individual or combined bday party for my daughter (3 yrs old) and two step daughters (5 & 7 yrs old). All of their bdays are in December and a week apart. When this topic previously came up with my husband he felt it right to have one big party for all three of them yet I was a little hesitant. At first I admit I was being selfish and wanted my daughter to have her own "spotlight" and party. On a side note, before I came in the picture and my husband was single, he never made a party for his daughters just had a little cake at home. I on the other hand have always thrown a party for both of my kids. My step daughters are with us every two weeks but my daughter is growing closer to them (this has been a very difficult road for us..trying to blend two families from totally different lifestyles). I'm confused on how to celebrate all three bdays yet be able to give each one of them their own celebration as well. Need all the advice I can get.

Why not ask the girls what they think? Some feelings might be hurt if they share a party, and making each one feel special and loved would be a plus on having individual ones. Plus, if you invite their friends, there will be less kids per party.
