Making the right decision.....

I'm thinking quiting my job to be a stay at home mom. The only thing is my son is 5 and is currently in PreK. I wish I could have done this a long time ago but for financial and health insurance reasons decided not to. I have regrets because of all of the time we missed together. My husband after all this time is finally on board with this, I think but I am still nervous about making the final decision. I think it's the best solution for our family. Any thoughts? Advice?

What about working part time while he is in school? That way you will still be able to help out financially, but be home for your son when out of school.

If you can afford it... go for it. If finances are still questionable you can look for a part time job during school hours.

There is nothing at all wrong w/ being a stay at home mom when your kids are in school... if that is making you hesitant on your decision. Some people think that if your kids are in school you shouldn't be 'home all day', but if it's not their life... it's not their call. You can always volunteer at the school or elsewhere if you feel like you need to 'do' something else w/ your life.
