My son just recently got his shot and he got the dots all over his tummy that's his doctor said he would get. Is it okay for him to be around other kids?

Due to my personal recent experience, I would keep your child away from others until his spots disappear. If they get worse, or other symptoms appear in conjunction, please seek medical advice.

Well actually.....

MMR vaccination is a live vaccination given to your child. There are very small chances of a reaction but they can happen.

Varicella vaccination (chicken pox) is also a live vaccination. I received it about 3 weeks ago, and came down with chicken pox. Even though it came from a vaccination, it is still very real, very much chicken pox, and very contagious.

Before potentially exposing other children or unvaccinated people, I would double,,,triple check with your doctor.

I only got about 20 pox, but was under strict quarantine. There is only a 2% chance or so to get chicken pox from the vaccination, but I am proof that it happens, and have the scars to show it.

Are you sure that's from his measles shot and not chicken pox vaccine? Either case he is not contagious to other kids.
