So we chose to not vaccinate our daughter and she is not 1 and a half and is so healthy only been sick once. Now that the measles are coming around people are on my case about giving her the vaccine saying I am hurting other! We are standing strong in our decision. Have anyone else had problems with people (family and friends) pushing the issue?

Well, you have that choice, and it's your right to make. However, are you prepared to handle the consequences when your unvaccinated child does get the disease, and proceeds to spread it, simply because YOU don't want to vaccinate?

Yes, you could potentially be endangering other children. The ONLY valid reason not to vaccinate for MMR, polio and other communicable disease is if the child's immune system will be compromised by such vaccinations.

You do realize that the outbreak at Disney recently was traced directly back to unvaccinated children, don't you? Do YOU want to face the consequences of something like that if it happened to be your child who was the carrier?

Well, I guess the real questions here are, why are you NOT vaccinating your daughter? Are there medical reasons? Do you understand that people like you that choose not to vaccinate just because are the reason that measles is rearing its ugly head? And another question, why would you rather risk your child getting the measles than giving vaccinations for very preventable diseases?
