Hi , I'm 17 ,18 in 10 days I'm 34 weeks pregnant and measuring at 39cm I've measured big all the way through my pregnancy and off to see the doctor Monday and a possible scan to see whats happening in there, surely wouldn't they talk about inducing me earlier or c section as I'm young, it's my first baby and he's really big . Wouldn't it be too much of a risk to try have him natural and go full term? Just bit worried as its my first child and would rather have him delivered earlier with no risks or complications. Cheers xx

Your body is made to have babies, it will be fine. I doubt they would suggest for you to be induced. I had my son completely naturally, he went full term, and he was 11lbs 9oz when he was born. I measured big throughout the pregnancy, and there wasn't anything I wanted more in the last few weeks than for that stubborn big guy to be born! But as uncomfortable as I was, my doctor just looked at me and said "hang in there, you'll be fine". And he was right, I was, so was my baby. You don't want to rush pregnancy or delivery. It will happen just as it is meant to.

The earlier you push your delivery, the MORE risk for complications, especially in a young mother.

40 weeks. That's normal gestation. OF COURSE you are going to be big, you are pregnant. I doubt that your doctor would agree to early induction just so that you can not be pregnant anymore. It could be a risk to baby. You aren't even at the recommended earliest date of 36 weeks yet.

Patience is essential when raising kids. It's a good idea to start practicing it now, in the last few weeks of pregnancy.
