I have to agree with Shawnn and the others. Giving this to a baby especially one under the age of one is not a good thing to do. Infants and young children are still developing and its in their nature to change their sleep habits a lot during the first couple of years. You are just going to have to deal with it. You are going to have to work on a schedule that the child will grow into over time. If your child is older say grade school age, I would be asking a doctor about that. Just because kids do not go to sleep when WE PARENTS want is not an excuse to give them any kind of drug or natural remedy to get them to sleep, its not safe nor natural for their little systems.

I'd look at his diet first. I tend to try to avoid any drugging of kids that age.

Melatonin can help in adults, but have you asked your pediatrician about the recommendations for melatonin and infants?

Why would you give your baby drugs to sleep? Have you talked to your pediatrician?
