Yes, it is absolutely possible. But remember menopause is a process rather than a moment in time, so while you may start showing signs early, it could be a process of several years. For example, my mother started at 42, but she was 52 before she was considered post menopausal. It took her 10 years.



If you think you may be entering menopause, you can be sure by going to visit your doctor and have your hormone levels tested. Don't be scared, there are vast amounts of information out there about menopause and how to manage the symptoms you experience. You can talk to your doctor about some of your options too.

Her periods were irregular and slowed to almost nothing before she was 50. But your missing periods, if that is the only symptom, could be anything. At least you have talked to your doctor about it, and he is checking it out for you :)

I have seen my doctor, he ordered some lab test to check my hormone levels, its just that i havent had my period in 4 months now, not even any spotting or on and off periods.....im just very scared that it could be something else rather than premenopause....Did your mon had on and off periods for 10 years (between 42yrs old and 52 yrs)???
