menstruation - my twin non identicals recently started their periods, same day, same time. freaky or what?! age of 10, 11 in January. my little girls are now little women - does anyone have any advice on dealing with this? especially the hormonal mood swings....

Love my girls to bits, but I feel they are not relating their true feelings regards to periods. very closed, feel totally left out but it is not about me. feel I am losing my little girls. HELP!

Thank you, fellow Michelle! I do remember the book you recommend, reading it as a pre teen. Getting through, god, parenting is tough! nice to know there are others out there. Many thanks. x

Maybe see if you can get them some books written as a girl getting her period. I know when I was young there was a book that was popular called: "Are you there God? It's me Margaret".
It was written as if it was a girl waiting for her period to start and all the emotional changes going on.
They are so young and it's a horrible thing to deal with at such a young age. Just be supportive and let them know that you have been there and have survived. Also see if they would like to talk to someone about how they are feeling.
