My daughter of 12 years has been sick th epast few days because of stomach pains, painfull and full breast, so i thought she will be getting a period soon.. How old do they have to get the period cause i got mone when i was 16. am afraid she doesnt understnad anything.

i was trying to teach her how to use a panty liner so that if she get a period being in school she will be safe from red robt on her iniform, was i wrong to do that?

I think your daughters take after there mums for mentrual cycles I was 10 and so was my mum and her mum before that. So I will be sitting down and telling my daughter very gently about what could happen to her and how to deal with it. There are some really good books in the librarys that could help you, also a general chat from the school nurse to all the girls in the school is normal around this age. Fore warned is better than a nasty surprise.

I know it was not easy but I spoke to my daughter a lot and answered her questions truthfully but I did not explain too much, just enough to satisfy her. Don´t go into too much detail about sex. They will ask the questions when they want the answers.

My daughter started her period one month before she turned 10. They can start from as young as 6. If she has pubic hair and breasts already, I think it is time for you to tell her about womanhood. Not too much but enough so she does not get a fright when she starts bleeding. The pantie liner is a very good idea.
