I find that when I'm on the pill I skip periods completely, I have spoken to the doctor and they insist that its fine. nice when you don't have to worry about the cramps and having tampons etc to hand :)

I even tells you on leaflet inside the packet that yes it is normal to sometimes miss a period as long as you have taken the pill correctly you will not be pregnant.

Obviously if taken in correctly make sure you take a test b4 starting your next packet to rule out pregnancy.

But yes it is normal :D Lucky when we don't get one. less tampons, need to munch chocs and moods lol woohhooo

well ive been reading lots of websites and asked a freind and they all say having a very light period in the 7 day free week is still counted as a period as it came when iw as due on not before and some women will get lighter n lighter periods sometimes none at all which is normal. im definley not pregnant so i can rule tht out im not ill so i think its normal or just my body getting used to it.

Your doctors told you skipping a period completely was normal? I've always been told that's not normal at all...unless you don't take the 7 break between pill packets you shouldn't be skipping a period surely?

Even if skipping on is normal, spotting certainly isn't. I would get that checked out just to be sure - It can be a sign of all sorts of problems...although if you have been taking it wrong it's probably just your body getting into a rhythm, but still...better safe than sorry!

I'm curious to know what "the wrong way to take it" is? What did the doctor tell you?

I was a bit worried too, but my doctor assured me it was fine. If you are worried speak to your doctor but mine seemed a bit suprised I was complaining about NOT having periods lol
