Yesterday I took my soon to an Orthopedic consultation that he was refered to by his pcp. He walks with his left foot turned in and has even tripped on it with his right. The Orthopedic doctor told me that he has symptoms of mild cerebral palsy. He only told me to watch him and that he'd see him once a year. Is this normal or should I ask my sons pcp for more info or ask if he needs physical therapy. I am totally confused and not sure what to do. He said that he may need botox injections if it gets worse or surgery and braces. He kinda just threw a bunch of random info at me without actually telling me he had it or not. Please help! My son was born at 25wks and was a micro preemie and I knew this was a possibility in the future for him but I just don't know what I should do from here. I guess I was in a bit of shock yesterday and just wasn't taking everything in that I could have. Any help or thoughts welcome.
Thank you in advance!
