I am so debating going back to work but I just don't think we can make it on only my boyfriend's income. I'm not sure what to do. The cheapest daycare I found is $312 per week and I'm not working more than 30-35 hours per week, so basically I'd be just about breaking even. Do I dare bother or does anyone know anyone in the MPLS area that is a bit cheaper than nearly $1250 per month?

Hi Kelly, I'm curios about what you end up deciding. I also live in Minneapolis and the costs are still the same. My husband and I decided to take our baby to a daycare, but we also knew about some home care that were a little bit cheaper. However, we couldn't really find a place we felt confidence about. Two years after your questions, where are you at?

Unless you go to school for a good income, needed profession, it's not worth it. Sad but true.

I wouldn't bother, that's why I stay at home. Daycare here(MI) is about the same so essentially I would be paying to go to work. NOT WORTH IT!!!
