my 17 y/o attacked me but law enforcement let her go with my ex, who then moved them both in with my parents and have basically cut me out of her life, but court records still have me as primary parent / care giver?

Yep, been there done this! You will now be charged with child support. That is why you are listed as the primary care giver. Welcome to the world of children's rights. :)

Your child is 17....old enough to make their own choice? Unfortunately if you have a problem with it, and feel it violates court orders, you have to file for contempt....but if I were you, I would consider that very carefully. Once your child is 17 it is unlikely you will succeed.

So on that basis, is the question here about how you remove yourself from the court records as the primary caregiver? Or is it about how you can fight it?
