Hello, I am 26 years old and have had my IUD in for almost 4 years. I had it put in at my 6 week check up after giving birth to my daughter. I have always had on again off again issues with it. I have had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease at least 4 times due to infection caused by the IUD. It would cause me heavy bleeding and sever pain to my abdomen and pelvic region. The doctors would give me pain killers and antibiotics and send me on my way with in a week I would be back to my old self. About 4 weeks ago i started feeling constantly exhausted, which didn't seem all that strange being that I am a full-time college student and stay at home mother of two very active toddlers. This past week I started to actually feel pressure in my pelvis as well as discomfort. Then 3 days ago I started getting sick and throwing up at random for no reason, but as soon as I did I felt fine. So of course I panic! I took two pregnancy test one was negative and one was positive. I have an appointment with my Doctor on monday to see what is going on. Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them?????

Yes, I did.. Had all of them and then some... Couldn't stand to take a shower as the water hitting my boobs would make me want to cry, it was worse then with my older 2.. I would throw up over smells that never bothered me while I wasn't pregnant, Couldn't stand the smell of pickles and my kids and I love pickles... lol..
I had the same feeling for not knowing or understanding what was going on at first I thought maybe I got a false positive so I took 3 more and all came up positive.. All I could do was cry because I was so scared of the what ifs... As my 2nd baby was born at 36 weeks with Gastroschisis { insides were outside her belly} and was only 3lbs 8oz.. I was scared because we were unsure of what affects the IUD would have on the baby, on myself.. With in 3 weeks of finding out and starting to wrap our heads around it I miscarried, I wanted to have it removed but like I said my old doctor wouldn't listen to me. I did see another doctor after my IUD fell out and they did blood work which showed Hormone levels coming down, they also had me that a pregnancy test which came out positive....
It could just be that your body is now rejecting your IUD... That was when the pelvic pain got really bad was when my IUD was falling out.. Which my doctor told me was because my body was rejecting the IUD, then they broke the news that I had another miscarriage..
Hope this is helpful... Take Care and Best Wishes... Keep me posted and if I can answer any other questions please feel free to ask...

Yep sure did , I was 23 and was pregnant twice while on my Mirena. Both times ended in miscarriage.. { was hard for me to handle} When I called and talked with my doctor they told me I was over reacting and that is was impossible to get pregnant while on the IUD.. And if I was they could try to remove it however it would end in miscarriage.... My IUD fell out after the 2nd Miscarriage which was 2.5 years ago and a 1.5 years later we conceived our youngest.. I am now 27 almost 28 and have a 6 year old boy, a almost 5 year old girl and a 13 month old boy..

Hope this is helpful... Best Wishes and Take Care...
