My son has always struggled, and was diagnosed with ADHD when he was six. We of course tried many things - medications, natural remedies, etc, but the natural remedies didn't work and the medications came with too many side effects. He struggled but had good, patient teachers and somehow made it through. He is 19 now. I happened upon an article on Aspergers today and it fit him to a tee. I am convinced that he was misdiagnosed as a child. The problem is, he is still struggling as he enters into adulthood. He has a part time job at a local supermarket, and I want so badly for him to be successful and to be able to live on his own one day. I'm afraid that if he doesn't get help, that might not happen. He's an adult, but still carries that middle school mentality. What can I do?
