@Nicole I can imagine he would be hesitant to trust anyone at this point. Continue to pray that the Lord will move him to give counseling a try. It can't be good for him to hold these feelings in. He did nothing wrong. He doesn't deserve the pain he's feeling and he needs to let it out. He's only hurting himself. I will continue to pray with you. Please do keep us posted.

No we haven't seen these people in twelve years I don't even remember the last name of the family
My boy is very closed about it, I found counseling but left it up to him
He hasn't called, not sure what I should do now

It's awesome that he is sharing this with you. It is obviously something that still bothers him. Please seek professional help for him ASAP! Hopefully this person is not still your neighbor or in contact with your son at all. Emphasize to your son it's not his fault. Child molestation can surely cause trust issues and could affect him in his relationships and in marriage. I read a great article that may be helpful at his current age. As a parent I'm sure this is difficult for you as well. will pray for healing and forgiveness for you both.
