Mom of a son whos anger is getting the best of him

My son is 5 he has had alot to deal with but the littlest thing can make him have ticks he goes in to a screaming mode and wont listen. I need help what should i do i have tried putting him in time out taking his stuff away, but I just dont think its working

Extreme outbursts of anger can be a sign of depression/anxiety in young children. If you are finding his reactions to circumstances to be over the top and it is hard for you to find a way to help him calm down... you might want to seek professional help for both of you.

Punishing him for being angry is not going to help. Help and support him in learning HOW to appropriately express his anger. Anger is a perfectly normal human emotion... it's what he does w/ it that matters.
