My 2 year old doesn't want to be downstairs by himself because he's afraid of monsters!

I agree with Rebekah, the wolf spray was the last thing my friend used and they always told her that there are no wolves in the bathroom, and went looking together but for some reason the girl still thought there are wolves and then the spray helped.

I've heard the "monster spray" can work... but be careful with stuff like that. By using a monster spray, you are also confirming that there are scary monsters that need to be gotten rid of. Don't feed into the fear, rather have him check the room out for himself to see that there is nothing there. If he doesn't want to be by himself either, that should be fine (do you really want a 2 year old by himself for very long anyway??). Its probably a phase that will pass in time. Meanwhile, be choosy in the TV programs or stories you share with him...Halloween is coming, so monster content is all around. Make sure the scary stuff is not available to him. OR, play up the friendly monsters, like Elmo or Henry Higglemonster (or whatever his name is on Disney). With all the Halloween costumes around, you could get him an Elmo mask and he could pretend the role of a friendly monster. That might take the fear out of things too.

My friends daughter was scared of "wolfs" in the bathroom so i came up with the idea to put water and lavander drops into a spray bottle.i drew a picture of sad a wolf on it and wrote Anti Wolf spray and gave it to my friend. She told her daughter that it is an Anti wolf spray and they sprayed it together in the bathroom...it helped her. Maybe you could make an Anti Monster spray for him.Goodluck
