I am a mom of six, and my advice in hindsight is not to try to control things too much! Let nature take its course when you can. We had our first three in 3-1/2 years and thought I was at my breaking point then. But I learned and grew and became a better mom because of it. If I could do it over again, I would have kept on having kids at about a two-year rate. I probably would have still hoped to be done with six children, but they'd all be closer in age. They are now 15, 13, 11, 8, 4, and 1. It's a lot harder to chase a 1-year-old at 40 than it was at 26, but I do have a lot more help to do it!

thats a good idea but by if i was to get pregnant right now they would be 18 months apart. i remember i was years older than my brothers and they were closer together in age and they had more fun together. i want that for my kids. you know.

It's so hard to gauge when to have another child. I would wait at least a year or two. Having two kids close in age is a lot of work. You don't want two in diapers and two very needy children at the same time trust me. You just have to think of the pro's and con's.
