Mother-In-Law cut my child's hair

So I pick up my son today and my mother-in-law ruined his hair... bangs at a 40 degree angle and the long end being over an inch above the brow. It didnt't need to cut nor did she ask. Now I have to either cancel family portaits or get it all buzzed off (I dont like that look on him). I am so angry I dont know what to do... What is the polite way to handle this? I hate confrontation!

I am the product of such a case myself. My mom let me go with my grandmother (her mother in law) to a beauty shop for a hair appointment. I was only supposed to go with her for the outing nothing more. When we got home, I came in crying and my hair was cut off and I looked like a boy. My mother was so mad. I was in tears.

I think that the next time your MIL has access to your child you need to imply that she is not to cut his hair and that you have it done the way you like it somewhere and its fine the way it is. Just tell her you appreciate that the wanted to do something to help out but that haircuts are already taken care of.
