I have a very poor relationship with my mother in law. She has done several things in the past I have difficulty moving on from. She let my 1 yr old at the time out of her site who need up on a busy 40 mile an hour road because she was playing with her phone. We just had our latest bout when she came over to watch my oldest. She went off on me when I told her I got my daughters dinner. To remain calm I went outside to remove myself. She followed and begun saying disrespectful things about me to her sister. I lost my cool(which I know was wrong) and yelled at her. I regain control her sister said she would watch the children. She continued to scream an yell at me in my front yard. I texted am apology she berated me further. I told her I forgave her she said she did nothing wrong. I am at my wits end and am tired of paying for her housing since she refuses to get a job.

I understand completely. My mother-in-law drives me completely crazy. She has Type 1 Diabetes and doesn't take care of it like she should. She has a tendency to go completely erratic and forget who she is and she's done this with my little boy. I'm terrified to think of what would have happened if I hadn't been home. Yet, I'm the bad guy for not wanting her to watch my baby by HERSELF. She's also accused me of being a bad parent because in a moment of desperation I asked if she could watch my boy while I cleaned the house. Yay to mother in laws.
I just think that we will never be good enough in the mother's of our halves.
