Hi, my name is Amber and I am currently completing a Human Biology course in year 11. A recent assignment has asked the question of ‘Does exercise during pregnancy reduce the likely hood of premature birth?’ My aim is to get as many mothers as possible to help me complete this. Participating in my assignment would mean answering a questionnaire about your fitness levels during pregnancy and week at which you gave birth. Your answers will be graphed to see if exercise during pregnancy does reduce the likely hood of premature birth. You will be referred to as a number and any personal information will be kept confidential. Please feel free to ask me questions before agreeing to participate, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

HI Sarah. My assignment is simply about the effects of exercise during pregnancy and if it reduces the likely hood of premature births. All I need is mothers answering some questions to see if their fitness levels did contribute to the delivery of their child.

This is a high school project? There are so many variables that contribute to preterm births that I think you are going to have hard time with your statistics. For example, regardless of fitness, a mother may deliver early due to anatomical abnormalities, pre-eclampsia, decreased placental function, diabetes, infection; how will you work with those variables in forming a conclusion?
