Moving in with dad

Should I let my son move in with his father? We have had our ups and downs but we have overcame them. My son is 7 years old. He has been spending the summers with his dad since he was 4. His father is well established, he is a Military vet. He owns his own home. I have been pretty much been raising my son alone, his father only gets him during the summer. I am not as established. Me and my son are living with my parents. I just graduated college and am about to start my career. I have been working as a substitute teacher because it allows me to be home in time for my son getting out of school. I cannot afford childcare. His father wants him to come and live with him for a while. It's very hard for me to decide because I have always had my son and I will miss him terribly. Does anyone have any suggestions that can help me to decide if I should let him move in with his father?

No one can help you make that decision, only you can.
Is there no way you can move closer to Dad so you can co parent more effectively?
