I am a single mother of a 12 month old and a 2 year old. My childrens father is not in the picture.

The problem: I was researching on moving to Greensboro NC in feb-mar 2013. I have two brothers in Reedsville (i think thats the spelling) but i think greensboro is a more family friendly place. i visited a couple of years ago and fell in love.
the only thing is with doing research i have not gotten a take on a single mothers perspective on relocating out of state (i am from NY), how the transition was, cost of living, day care/schools, job searching, house searching etc etc.

Mind you, i am a single mother looking to relocate because cost of living/sustaining childcare, rent costs, travel expenses, well all expenses for a single mother is not reasonable here in NY for that single mother who has to provide for everything with little to no help. I cant do it. I have been told to go through the state, but technically i earn too much before taxes to get all the help i need, child support services still has not been able to locate my childrens father even though he lives within the state, and basically i do everything alone.

I was hoping to get a mothers take on this subject, moving, transitioning, job market, cost of living, day care/schools, job searching, rental house searching etc etc.etc or local single mothers in NC that can give me an indepth answer because frankly i need to move. but i am wondering if this is the best option.
