My daughter will be 13 in a few months but she is still not allowed to have a facebook account. I think that high school is a more appropriate age for her to have one but I will let her have one when she is entering the 8th grade and I will have full access. I want to be able to teach her what to look out for and why, and the dangers of cyberbullying as well. I want her to be well prepared about all of these things before she enters high school.

Hey Sharlene, you pretty much completely described what Circle of Moms is about! Maybe think about searching the different communities to see if you want to find a smaller group to get to know people better, or you can even start your own community! I am part of several smaller communities and it really allows time to build friendships and get to know one another. This has been a fantastic site for support for me!

Hi Mommies how are you today? Lynn you're amazing to have most of your shopping done and its November 15 th!!!!! I got my kids gifts and stocking stutters but still have to get Morgan's letter to Santa written. He says "Mom I want to email Santa this year. That way he'll get my wish list quicker!". Just turned 5 and he knows too much!!! I thought it was cute though. Welcome Kimberly to the Mommy club yes I agree with you all that being amp is wonderful but cabin fever can set in and we need to remember who we were before. I have a great group of friends we love, support, and babysit each others kids. We also get together once a week to scrapbook. It works out great since our older kids are in school and our younger ones can play. Any groups like that in your area Nasfia and Kimberly? I find it really helps to have those outlets. Check out Facebook it's a great resource for finding specific groups in your area. I was very lonely when I first moved and got pregnant with my first son. I didn't really reach out and meet other Moms until I had him. In Canada the local health units have a program called baby talk. It realty helped me meet Moms that I'm still close with today!!! I'm not sure what kind of programs they gave in the US but it's worth looking into. In the meantime us Global Mommies are always here to be a sounding board, support and to instant chat. I wish all you Moms the best today and everyday. Take care :)

Yeah shopped for everyone except the kids. I already know what I am getting them but since they have the biggest budget I was waiting to get everyone else stuff. I don't know what your budget is for the hubby but just think about the things he cherishes the most. Maybe get something engraved for him. I was gonna get my husband a tankard engraved for my hubby since he loves beer but he drinks it out of the can so i guess it might go unused so I have ordered him a ring with the kids names engraved on the outside and a little message on the inside. Atleast I know he will wear that. Doesn't have to be big just meaningful

Hi everyone! Have you started your Christmas shopping? I have just about everything my two kids and my nephew asked for. I have a few things I'll need for other family members, but the expensive stuff is pretty much done. Kids are easier because you know what they want. I have a much harder time with adults' gifts because I can't think of anything! I even have a hard time coming up with ideas for husband and I. How about you?

Hi Christie thanks for your reply. Well I think tornado warning during a bike rally would more excitement then I could handle!!!! You must live in the southern U.S. To have those kind of weather patterns. I live in Canada and in my province we don't have tornado warnings. Wishing you well Christie take care:)

Hi guys I am desperately looking for mummy friends. Believe or not i haven't a single friend that has kids : ( Anyways i love spending time with my kids and i spend all day every day with them. Need some sanity and am guessing this is the best way to do that. I am in the meetup group as well but I have never had a chance to go to any meetups since I am still having a hard time organizing my time properly. Feel like I am a first time mom with two kids simply because they are only 11 months apart and two boys.
Enough of that though how many moms in Guildford Surrey BC?

Hi Lynn I had a great Halloween. My Mother in-law came out trick or treating with me and my boys. She dressed up as a penguin which the kids loved. My oldest Morgan was Captain Jack Sparrow complete costume with dreadlocks and a sword. My baby Maddox was a monkey. It was a chilly night so he was the warmest of us all. My husband stayed home and handed out candy. I was surprised to see a lot of older kids out Halloweening. There were a few that came to my door with king size pillowcases and they looked about 16!!! My oldest turned 5 and we had a little family party. He was quite excited and now he says everyday I can do anything, I'm five I'm an adult now !!!! Too cute. My baby sat up on Halloween and I was able to catch it on video, thank God for iPhones!!! Now he's working hard on learning how to crawl. So he's practicing everyday while I rush around childproofing the house. Well I hope you all had a happy Halloween. Take care global Mommies, and hello to Adekola welcome to the club!

Did you all have a fun Halloween? My son is ten, he was a red ninja, and my daughter who is seven, was an Eskimo princess. They were allowed to get most of their homework done in class, so they were thrilled! My son lost his first molar right after school today, so the Tooth Fairy brought him $2 and two Kit Kats. He'll be so excited in the morning! We all went around our neighborhood with a group of their friends, then we went back home and played pool while kids were still coming over. My son is pretty good! He made some good shots! My daughter was very happy to hand out more candy. Even after all the candy we handed out, they brought so much home, it's almost as much as we started with! My husband may be taking some to work! Hope you had a fun night with your kids, too!

Sunny Arizona well 83 sounds great!!! It's fall in Canada and the mornings are cold, -1 today and warmer in the afternoon +11. I live in one of the warmer parts of Canada. Soon we will have snow and then Christmas is around the corner. Time seems like it's fast forwarding for me my oldest will be 5 soon and my youngest 7 months. My heart goes out to you Lynn. I will keep your niece in my prayers. It is so hard to see little ones who have to go through so much. Blessings to her and your family. Take care :)

2 degrees? I'd be frozen solid! It's about 83 here in Phoenix, AZ, and will probably get up in the 90's this afternoon. I am so ready for it to cool down! It's been a long, hot summer. My 10-month old niece had open heart surgery several days ago, and now has a blood clot in her leg that she needs daily shots of blood thinners for. The pacemaker and feeding tube have been removed, and she's eating and even playing a little. She'll probably be in the hospital for another week or so. Poor baby. My ten-year-old son is going to be a red ninja for Halloween. My seven year old daughter insists that she doesn't want to dress up, and just wants to stay home and hand out candy. Does anyone else's young child give up on costumes way too soon??? She said the same thing last year, but I talked her into it. I tihnk she really means it this year! It's hard because I have a home preschool, and I wear shirts, necklaces and earrings for every holiday! My daughter likes that stuff, but said that Halloween is "not her thing".

Hello Mommies from sunny Canada!!! It's 2degrees celsius here and the suns shining bright. I always love to wake up to the sunshine it really sets my mood for the day. Thank you Jane, Gillene, and Sharlene for replying. It's always my favorite part of my day to see there's a message in my inbox. Today my baby's napping and I'm chatting with you. I'm excited because today I get to decorate for Halloween with my boys. My hubby got some cool decorations so the house is going to look super scary!! What's everyone being for Halloween? My boys are a pirate and a monkey. I'm still trying to decide what to dress up as. Ever year I get a costume and go trick or treating. It's a fun tradition and this will be my baby's first Halloween. So any costume suggestions are appreciated. Take care ladies I'm off to catch some zzzzz's. Welcome Cynthia, have a great day global Mommies :)

I have three girls that keep me busy, my eldest is 12 and has just started secondary school, then I have a 9 year old going on 19 and lastly my youngest who is 8. When I am not washing mountains of clothes I work as a learning support assistant at the school which the girls go to. For a night out I enjoy girls nights out or in. I do enjoy the occasional game of badminton and love going out for dinner with my hubby when we can find someone brave enough to look after the girls. Hope everyone has a good week whatever you do and wherever you go.

Hi Gillene; all's well here a little chilly this morning on the walk to school. My big boy's in kindergarten and my baby's just waking up from a nap. He's a happy-go-lucky boy. I'm really blessed because both my kids wake up happy. In my spare time ( when I have some) I like to exercise, do yoga, and I scrapbook with my friends on e a week. When I feel like I a Mom's night out then dinner, drinks, and dancing are great ways to unwind. What keeps you busy over there in England? My Father in-law was born there then moved to Canada when he was 2. His Mom was born there and she still has her accent. I love to listen to her talk she calls me luv all the time. Well must get some breakfast for my little one. I wanted to say welcome to Jane, and thank you to Sharlene for starting the group. Have a great day Mommies :)

Thank u Lynn. Its hard. But having my son took too much out of my female organs.. and this is a last resort to make me better. It's in about 3 weeks. I'm very nervous because i have a blood clotting condition which brings a MUCH bigger risk to this surgery too.

Lori, I'm so sorry that you have to have a hysterectomy. That's got to be hard. It's a good thing that you were able to have your son beforehand. I hope you feel better after the surgery, and that you won't need any more. Do you have someone close by who will be able to care for your son while you're recovering? Be careful, and take it easy afterwards! Let us know how you're doing!
