Ok i am a young mom and my son will be 19 when i am 40 so i personaly dont think i would want another child at that age (possible i could even be a granny by then).
But i know a couple that have been married for a long time and they having been trying to concieve for a very long time. She is now 41 and i understand why they are still trying and hope it will happen. As far as i know they have been trying since 6years and in that case i think its ok for them to still try at that age.I guess every woman must know for them selves when what age they would like to have a baby.

I must say, I wouldn't consider having another one at my age either (I'm 44 next week). I had my youngest one at 36 and that was enough for me (my husband was 40). Personally I don't think our bodies are made to be having babies at this age, but that's me. If you haven't already had kids, then I can see why you would want to, and good on you for going there. Plenty of women do, and there is nothing wrong with it if that is what you want.
Like Shawnn, if I happened to get pregnant, I'd never walk away from that, but I'd certainly not plan it. My husband has had the snip, so unlikely.

Personally? I think its insane. No way I'd consider a baby at my age (43). But, that's me! Others may and do think differently.
Now, if God decided I needed another blessing, and chose to have me get pregnant at this age, I'd chalk it up to something He felt I needed, and be thankful, but as long as I've got a say...and my tubes are tied...Nope, not for this momma. My kids are almost grown, I've gotten to relish the extra freedom that hubby and I have as a result of having raised our kids, and getting to enjoy each other again...
