There are multiple answers to your question. As a mom to twin girls I can share my experience. My daughters are opposites and here is what worked for me. I hope and pray that you will have success soon so that you can get some rest for sanities sake. #1 Develop a regular night routine so that your baby will begin to know what is taking place at night. The flow would be a soothing bath with lavender soap to help her relax. Afterwards massage her with lavender or oatmeal lotion. Read her a book. Feed her, and then put on a lullaby. As you become more calm and relaxed hopefully she will too. #2 This is a second option, if #1 doesn't work talk to your pediatrician about the issues, she may be having some stomach issues that she cannot express. Be encouraged, bringing a new baby home is a struggle for us all. Hang in there and love your baby.

I would ask your pediatrician, public health nurse or lactation consultant. Perhaps you could try ovol if she has gas or a different brand of bottle. My son will only take from Tommee tippie bottle. He had a lot of trapped gas no matter how much I burped him. The ovol worked really well.

My 1st daughter was like this, thank god i lived with my parents and my brother or i wouldnt had made it! she would never sleep, im talking a few hours a day! she had to be in constant motion. Either by walking, swing, vibrating bouncer. Always constant motion. I would try baby wearing with a low cut top and a carrier that allows skin to skin. Try singing or a noise machine, also try to change the formula it may be a kind she cant tolerate, its hard for babies to go from mother's milk to formula. Their systems are very sensitive. Good luck hun it wont be forever just keep your chin up. soon she will be crawling and wearing her self out and not able to fight sleep.

My second baby was like that and all of my boys were lactose intolerant. Once I changed the formula to a lactose free he was like a different baby. Also be sure u burp after each oz that helps sensitive tummies

This is the new update
I tryed changing the formula
She pooped less and her pooped changed
So i stope and went back to the same milk i gave her
... I bought a new bottle for her called podee bottel its really good special at night
Less gas
Helps with colic
...
I tryed a new technique i would let her play for about an hour or 40 minz
Then wash her
And then feed her and she would sleep for 2 hours 3 hours then wakes to feed again and so on
But if she is wide a wake i would let her play again for a few minz or so and she would sleep really good
She is still fussy special if she is over tried but i rock her and sing to her and then she is asleep
I have been studying her very well
the first 3 days she was doing good then she didnt sleep for 3 days only for 10 minz but i think its normal now
It would be 3 days good 3 days bad or so then she would go back to sleeping good i think she is still learning
I also would put her down if she is tried and turn off the lights and she would fall asleep by her self
So now im not worry no more i hope this helps
Also a heads up dont get stressed out
I seen myself wen i get stressed she would to
But i keep clam an patient and she sleeps faster

Thanks for the update. I think that's a gd idea, it won't hurt to try.
I also like Elle Em' suggestion
how is the weather there? Cold windy weather can make baby's fussy as well. In fact Laiyah is fussy now bc its cold and windy here and I had to get her out for dr appt and get the kids from school.

Do not ignore your baby. The only way they have to communicate with you is to cry and fuss. He/she is letting you know something is wrong.

I would ask your pediatrician if there is a 'gentle' recipe formula on the market that perhaps would be easier for your LO to digest.

Granted it's been 16 years since I looked at formula, but Similac was a very heavy one when my guys were little, and I went through several switches before I found out that they were lactose intolerant, and switched to soy. But, Carnation had a product out called Good Start, that was more closely mirrored after breast milk. A lot of my friends switched from Similac to that, and their babies were much happier.

It is hard to go through, because they can't tell you what's wrong...and at times, you can be so tired and frustrated that you feel like the worst mom in the world. YOU ARE NOT!!!! Once you find what works for your LO's tummy, you'll be amazed at the results!

I would stop with the gas relief drops. Maybe change formula to the gentle ease enfamil. The similac may have to much iron, or is causing gas. Also, the doctor brown bottles are great for releasing gas from the formula. I would make sure with the parmacist that gas relief drops were ok. I was always told to not use that stuff.

Don't feel bad this is normal maybe she has gas after feeding and needs to be burped. This usually passes after the first three months. She also might just want to be held by you.

Yes i tlked to the doctor she said to just message her belly that its normal for babies at that age to get gassy ...
She only sleeps 5 minz and then she would wake up cryies and then i would rock her again and she would go to sleep for 5 minz and so on

Sophie, your post was ridiculous, not helpful, and actually potentially harmful.

DO NOT EVER ADVOCATE IGNORING A BABY. If you cannot be supportive, then keep your hands away from your keyboard.

Layla, baby feels your frustration as well. Have you asked your doctor if she's got anything causing reflux or other conditions that could be making her uncomfortable?
