my daughter gets her period twice a month cramping a lot very emotional and heavy periods is it normal

Yes and no...

It is common for girls to have difficult periods when they first start menstruating. Lots of pre-teens and teens have irregular, frequent, painful or heavy periods. Things usually get better after the first year, but it can sometimes take 2 to 3 years. Lots of girls experience what your daughter going through. She's not alone with this.

However, you should talk to her doctor. Her periods are very frequent, and losing that much blood is hard on her body. She should have her iron levels checked. Your doctor should also be able to offer some advice in terms of regulating her cycle, and treating her symptoms (cramps, etc) to make her more comfortable when she does have her period.
