I know, I told him he needs to either wipe better or try to go more often because the older he gets the more noticeable it is and dont want him to get made fun of. I am going to take him to our new pediatrician and see what she thinks his problem is. Thank you for replying back to me.

He would have been 8 when he lost his sister, so already past the age of normal potty training. Was he doing okay before then? If not, I would assume there is an issue either psychologically or physical. Have you taken him to a psychologist for it?

I have heard of preteens not using the bathroom but that is usually in the case of overseas adoptions and with patience they get it pretty quickly.

Have you talked to him about it? What does he say? Does he feel when he needs to go? Is he just flat out refusing to do it?

I would assume the other children have already noticed. Kids can be mean too. At his age I doubt he would tell you that the other children pick on him. Are you able to homeschool or get him a tutor for home because I can't imagine that is easy on him.

I really am not sure how to help other than stating there is a problem here and doctors need to get to the bottom of it.

He wears them all day and we have been to several drs. But we just got a new pediatrician so i am going to see what she thinks could be going on, back in 2010 we lost our first daughter due to heart problems at 3 months old so i dont know if that made things worse. I will make an appt soon with her.

Have you been to a doctor? And is he wearing them during the day or only at night?
