Hi, my daughter is 13 months old, we have had tummy issues since she was born. I put her on soy formula at 5 months and she was doing great, but in the last 3 weeks we have resorted back to screaming out in pain. It is so bad i have thought about taking her to emergency. I have thought she might be alergic to wheat as well so in the last day we have cut out all wheat, but last night was just as bad. She has been constipated her whole life as well. Please help if you have any ideas.....

My baby girl (12 months in a week) has had major tummy problems first we got her rx for acid reflux then she shortly after that she started the constipation so I took her Back to the dr. her dr. told me to go to walmart or the drug store and get a bottle of Meralax (i think I spelled it right) fill the lid halfway full and mix it with 4 ounces of fluids and give it to her. (now mind you play with the amount your baby may not need that much or may need more but it is totally safe for babies :D best of luck

My daughter also did that, my husband and I would spend hours every night for weeks holding her trying to calm her, turned out our pediatrition said she had acid reflux... poor baby she's only 5 months now ,this happened when she was just a few days old, the doctor put her on half a tab of previcid for two months

She is still on soy formula, the doctor reccomends her to stay on it till 18 Months of age. I don't give her milk, or egg products. I am so lost, I have tried a probiotic, it made it worse. She has at least been pooping every other day on her own recently, so that is good, but these pains that wake her up at night screaming pain, pulling her legs into her tummy and moving non stop all night long. Going to the doctor monday and asking for allergy testing and blood work. Thanks for everyones replys.

My daughter used to be constipated alot also, and she had vomiting /spitup problems until she was 14 or 15 months old. Even after that she would vomit or spit up on ocasion until she was almost 2. She never was screaming with pain though but I did have her on soy formula. She kept having problems with constipation until she was almost 4. She is 41/2 now and she now has normal BMs, it just kind of cleared up on its own.

Is she still on formula or is she on soy milk now? What I would do is do like you did when you first started her on solids. Only give her 1 kind of bread, milk and eggs product a day until you find the problem. Milk eggs, and nuts is the things that most people are allergic to. Some people are allergic to soy. Soy formula is more gentle than regular soy milk, so if you have switched her that might be the problem. Maybe you could try rice milk... But if it gets severly bad you should take her to the ER.
