My lo has a rather bad flat spot on one side of his head and we have been told if it doesnt correct itself he will end up needing a helmet at around 8 mnths that will need to be worn 23 hrs a day for 6 mnths. Regardless of what we do to keep him of that side he always manages to roll back to it.. Does anyone have any tips or has anyone experience d similar issues.. thanks in advance

This is rather difficult because he's rolling already. My only advice would be for you to physically roll his back to the other side even when he is sleeping. You don't have to sit there constantly watching him, but maybe quarter-way or halfway into his nap (depending on the length of his nap), check on him and gently roll it back the other direction. For night time, check on him right before you go down for the night and repeat. He might not like it but he'll get used to it.

Think of it this way, if you don't, he will have to use that helmet...

Good luck!

I'm not exactly certain what that is, but please be careful and make sure it is pediatrician-approved. If it is one of those pillow contraptions meant to keep babies on their side, you might want to double check the reviews, as in the past, children have suffocated from getting caught in them (not this particular device) at the wrong angle when they move around in their sleep.

Take care and good luck!

p.s. I just realized your baby is only 13 weeks. (For some reason, I thought he is older.) It shouldn't take too long to "fix" the problem with the routine I gave earlier, as that is what I did with my kids.
