I have a 13 year old son who was diagnosed with ADD last year and is on Adderall 25. His grades compared to last year are excellant but Im worried about his short term memory. We cant tell him to do more than 2 things at a time because he will forget. As a matter of fact we just had an incident at school where his trumpet was missing. I filed a police report and everything. His trumpet was found in his locker. A locker he doesnt use. He keeps all his books in his bookbag. He doesnt remember putting it in the locker nor does he remember, at least not clearly, getting the trumpet from the band room. Because of this he is going to be removed from the honor society because of the trouble that was caused. I believe him when he was crying uncontrollably in the principals office about not remembering. Am I being naive or should I be worried? Ive scheduled an appointment with his doctor. Is there certain questions I should be asking? Im in need of some advice and help fast please. Thank you

Oh I'm sure he wasn't lying, just being a teenager can be stressful! I hope your Dr appointment goes well! He sounds like a sweet young man!

Hi! I am on 30 MG of Adderall plus a couple of 10 MG Adderall when needed. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy (uncontrollable sleep) and I know that is a lot different then ADD however I understand a great deal about the effects of Adderall. It sounds like you may need to speak with your Dr. about his dosage. The teenage years are rough anyways as I'm sure you know as well ;)
