My 14 month old son just recently started throwing these horrible screaming tantrums for no reason. Any advice?

One second he's fine and the next he's screaming inconsolably. He'll either be in the middle of eating or walking around the house and just starts screaming his lungs out. He's only been doing this for like two weeks now but it's starting to drive me insane. He's always been such a calm baby and never really cries a lot. I just don't know what to do.

First, I would check that he's not in pain from teething or even an ear ache. Does he pull on his ears at all? Is he drooling alot? After that, I would see if maybe he is getting tired. Around a year, they start changing their napping habits from 2 naps to 1 nap and at first they get very cranky with the transition. He could be overstimulated. Ever feel so tired it hurts? Or, he could need to let off some steam. I throw fetch (sounds bad, but he loves it) or we race each other across the room and it wears him down. He could be so bored, it's driving him crazy. The only way to know is to experiment and see what works. I better go. My son is getting sleepy eyed as I type. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. My son is the exact same age as yours. Take care!
