I cant possibly help you need to see a doctor like i did with my sons issue. We was told My son might have to have a op and have the lump cut out but thankfully it went by itself. Your child could be a total diffrent issue you need to take them to the doctors.

my 16 month old got his booster shot about 1 in a half week ago and he started to have rashes behind his neck and groin and leg, it started to go away but he also has a hard lump behind both ear the right is alot bigger then the left.. its starting to freak me out..
Please tell me what going on i do not want to go to the dr. and tell me it nothing to worry about then another bill to worry about..

As long as the cyst is normal skin color and doesn't get any bigger it's probably ok. If it starts to turn red or purple it is probably infected-talk to your Doc then. Otherwise it will probably just go away on its own-mine almost always do.

I looked it up on wikipedia cause I'm not sure how to explain it! lol here's the definition they have...
A lymph node (pronounced /ˈlɪmf noʊd/) is a small bean-shaped organ of the immune system, distributed widely throughout the body and linked by lymphatic vessels. Lymph nodes are garrisons of B, T, and other immune cells. Lymph nodes are found all through the body, and act as filters or traps for foreign particles. They contain white blood cells that use oxygen to process. Thus they are important in the proper functioning of the immune system.

My grandson who is not yet two yrs. old had one when he was born. I asked the dr the day he was born and he said it was a skin tag and not to worry it will probably fall off when he is older and if it doesn't they can remove it very easily. So don't worry.

my daughter had that at birth and like u i was concerned even tho the doc wasnt too concerned he sent for xrays all was good somthing to do with the growing while inside u but every case is different get it checked .. im sure its nothing. good luck n keep us informed on how he is !

I got it checked to be on the safe side, I would recommend the same. Even if it is nothing, they can record it on his medical file and if it does change then they have something to work with, history wise. I 99% sure it will go away on my son, but I want to vigilant all the same.

My son has a similar bump, around the size of a pea further around the back of head. The Dr was not too concerned and said it could be a gland. He asked me to just keep an eye on it. It has been there for a month now and it has not gotten any bigger. If it does get bigger I will be taking him back straight away.
