My 16 year old son has given up on himself.

Hi, i am at a total loss with my son. He says he feels sad, overwhelmed, not motivated. His self esteem has gone down to zero. But the days there is no school, he is fine. He says his school and workload is too much for him to handle. He was an honor roll student till he was in 8th grade. Since he started 9th grade, his grades started going down. Now he is at a point where he doesn't even want to try anymore. He said he had given up on himself. I am taking him to a psychologist, a psychiatrist, he has two tutors at home just to help him thru. ut I see no initiative on his part. All he does is he lies down with his phone on his hand and keep watching youtube videos all day and night. I tried taking away the phone and all the electronics. But he just still doesn't do any work. I really don't know what to do. The other day he told me that I'm breathing on his shoulder all the time and to leave him alone. So, I've decided to totally withdraw myself. Not asking him anything. Not do the things I usually do for him like getting his breakfast ready, see his off at he door, getting his lunch and dinner ready for him, do his bed, do his laundry, reminding him of his tests and homework and so on and so forth. For those who are thinking that I pamper him too much, to my defense all I can say is, he is my only child and he used to be sick a lot from asthma, allergy, acid reflux till he turned 12. Anybody has any advise for me.
