Hello everyone,

I'm new here and need help. I think my Subject is self explanatory! I will say , my son from a baby has always been careful, sensible and responsible. You know kids at playgrounds, would slide down the slippery dip head first, if they were allowed! My son, from crawling would turn around and go down feet first without ever being told too. He has never behaved any differently, even when first diagnosed, he was amazingly grown up. Then puberty hit, and due to his disease, puberty for him is happening twice at the same time, it's bad enough once - agreed??? I'm scared and im usually very good at solving problems, but this literally took my breath away!!! I think that is all I want to say for now. Can anyone offer me any guidance or if someone has been through the same thing, could they please help me?? Thanks for your time

I guess my response would depend on what this "life-threatening" disease is. What disease causes a child to go through puberty twice? Or are you just suggesting it is twice as bad? Is this something you have talked to hsi doctor about?

The disease he has is extremely rare and is to do with the hormones in the body. Before the diagnosis, due to this disease , initially my son seemed as if he was going through puberty, but it wasn't till he slipped into a coma, taking the hospital hours and hours to find a possible diagnosis, which even then they were not sure was correct, and that he could of died. It was a gamble, when they treated him, but the gamble obviously worked ! So thats what I mean about puberty x2 at the same time! I have only just found out about what he has been doing, and the whole time he has been smoking the bongs, we thought he was going into another crisis! The symptoms are extremely similar. My son has chosen to tell his psychologist everything, this week.

Does smoking pot help him w/ the symptoms of his disease? Is he in counseling to deal w/ the emotional repercussions of being diagnosed w/ a life threatening disease?
