She only drinks water and she threw it all up this morning. Yest. All she ate was 1/2 a bananna, and a dry waffle. She woke up with a dry diaper and is very sleepy, even though she no longer has a fever she is very out of it. When she wakes up I plan on giving her the pedi lite ice pop, not sure if she will take it. She will not drink the drink or Gatorade. I am Worried about her when will I know I need to now take her to the Hosp. For dehydration?

Hi ladies, thank you for your advice and well wishes. I did end up taking her to the ER and they gave her an anti nausea med. When I got her home she ate dry Cheerios and thank goodness held it down. She is holding it all down now, a nice light diet for now, but she still has diarrhea! So I guess this shall take some time. Thanks again. :)

Agreed with other posters, small children and babies dehydrate quickly. It happened to my nine month old and I took him to emerge and he was so limp he didn't flinch getting the iv put in. That was almost nine years ago and he is fine but do not take dehydration lightly. Let us know how she is doing. Hope she is feeling better.

Has she peed since you posted this? If not.... take her in to the ER now.

Focus on fluids right now not solids. Or try watery things (grapes, watermelon, vegetables). If she doesn't drink anything at all or have at least 8 wet diapers, she needs to go to the doctor. Pedialyte will help replenish her body with sodium, potassium (bananas have that too), and water. If she only drinks water, give it to her in small amounts so she doesn't throw it up. When she stops throwing up, start giving her bananas, rice, applesauce, toast as tolerated. Good luck!
