I can't get my 17 month old son to eat anything besides chicken nuggets pizza apple sauce pouches and pancakes and waffles ( he will eat any crackers or chips) He refuses to eat fruits and vegetables and I don't know what to do, has anyone concurred this problem?

I put bananas in his pancakes this morning, and he ate it! He only spit out two bites so I consider that a huge win! The suggestions were very helpfull, I only feel silly that I didn't think of it! Thanx!:)

Could be the texture of items, could be the taste, could be that he doesn't like "hard things" or yellow things...

Keep introducing things to him. Make sure you're eating these exciting things at the same time, so he'll see the enjoyment you have from partaking of different foods.

Put fruit in the pancakes! Make the veggie snacks fun to look at as well as eat, such as peanut butter & celery. Watermelon seeds are great to "shoot"...have to eat the watermelon to get the reward of spitting the seeds...LOL

Most importantly, be patient. He's 17 months old. He's not going to have a very sophisticated palate yet, and new foods are kind of scary at this age.
