I have tried putting a variety of veggies and fish and different color foods and nope he will not touch or he just spits it out. So please any advice will be great!! Thanks

Thanks for all the advice, thats the biggest problem I give in to him. My 11 year old girl ate everything, so this is just so different. We eat together at the table but he wil just through his food or the whole plate. He knows how to work me :-)

Yes I think I have tried the whole grocery store he's just so picky. Hes a healthy little boy it just worries me because I feel like he's not getting enough nutrients.

He drinks whole milk, 1/2 cup after breakfast, 1/2 cup before nap time and a cup before bedtime.

Oh... and yes, at that age ALL of my kids liked what mom and dad were eating way better than their food... even if it was the same food. Our girls would nibble a little, be done, and then come and clean our plates. lol At least they were eating and we could always get more when they were full. ;)

Fruit is good. You can make your own 'chicken nuggets' w/ cut up chicken breast and seasoned bread crumbs. Nothing wrong w/ that.. .but, obviously, NOT for every meal every day...

Kids at this age don't need a LOT of food, but it's good to offer a small variety at regular times throughout the day. Is he still breastfed? Or formula? Or another milk source?

Unless he has an issue w/ textures or something else... he WILL eat when he's hungry enough. Just keep offering and try not to worry about it.

Have you tried yogurt, cereal, eggs, etc..? Those are things that 'some' toddlers will take to easily.

Have you tried allowing him to eat food off your plate? Do you all eat together, or are you feeding him separately? If you eat together, you can let him choose some food from you plate and see if he will be open to trying that. I know my daughter used to prefer the food on my plate. So I just dished extra up on mine and served her from my dinner, lol.

However, I do also agree with Michelle. You need to stop giving in to him. He is clearly getting something else to eat when he spits out the things he chooses not to eat. The only way to get variety in the diet is to try more and more things. It sometimes takes 15-20 tastes of something to acquire a liking. Keep persevering. I've never made separate meals in my home for the children. i always prepared a part of the meal I knew they would definitely eat if we were trying something different. But they had to try the something different. Nowadays (they are much older) they will try anything and have very broad palates.

Stop giving in and giving him what he wants.
YOU are the one that does the shopping and cooking and YOU are the one that controls what he eats!!!!
He knows that if he spits it out and refuses for long enough he will gets the crap that he wants. Stop buying the crap and only have healthy options in the house and show him that there aren't any nuggets in the house. He will eat if he's hungry enough but YOU have to be strong and not give in. It has now become a battle of wills and you have to be stronger than him.
