My 1st grader learning style doesn't match teachers teaching style and she doesn't see it. Instead she is insinuating he may have ADD. However he doesn't have any extreme behavior problems and this was never an issue last year. Sure he may not sit still all the time and he struggles a little bit with comprehension but at home with my supervision and encouragement he is much more productive. I have spoken with teacher, then teacher and principle, then teacher, and things are getting worse. He doesn't engage its like he freezes up if asked a question. He won't engage anymore.

He may have developed some fear in class of being wrong or tje tea her not encouragi.g him enough or maybe she us a bit rough. If he consume sida products or sweet snacks or candies take him iff it for at least two to three weeks and see if he is more able to sit and focus so he can understand more. But this going to take hard work because withdrawl can make him act up a bit so you will have to stay strong and fight through it with him and keep encouraging him that teasurance really helps him to become more comfortable and confident.
