My little girl wants to play with some other little girls that are close in age to her, but they seem to ignore her a bit. She keeps going over to them trying, but then just gets left out and kind of goes off on her own. It almost seems like she doesn't know what to do with them. She goes up and just smiles at them and says their names, and then follows them around, but the girls kind of brush past her. I have seen this on multiple occasions. Some of these girls do play with each other more often, so they are probably more comfortable with each other. Some of them also talk a little better than she does so that may be a factor. I just want her to feel more comfortable and not feel left out. I am hoping this is just an age thing and she will grow past this. Has anybody gone through this? She has been in a 2-day "school" program with other children since she was one and she is around children in the gym day cares and at church. She has regular play dates with a little boy her age who is her best buddy, so she has been exposed to other children.
