DD is often sucking her fists and she does it so hard that you can actually hear her even from a different room.. At first I thought it was hunger but these days right after burping her after her feeding and she is at it again.. She also only wants to be held upright or slanting in an almost sitting position but not lying down unless she is asleep.... are all these normal?

Hey.... good to hear that it happens.. I was beginning to wonder if I am doing things wrong. Yes I pretty much try and keep her hands clean because I have no control over this she actually wakes up at night and starts doing it even in the darkness.lol! Thanks and God Bless you n your precious too!!

Hi Liz , my baby also kept on putting her fist in her mouth . She did it for a month or so . . I think its a baby thing . Some babies find comfort by sucking there hand . Soon ur baby will start putting everything in her mouth . For me , my baby first sucked fists , then after a few months started putting all 4 fingers in her mouth . She is 10 months old now and still puts a finger in her mouth occasionally . They out grow each phase and thats how they learn . I gave her colouful soft teethers . Just try n keep her hands clean . Take care . God bless u and ur little angel .
