my 2 month old baby sleeps at around 11 pm and gets up at 5 am for his feed. I have read that first 3 months baby should not be left unfed for more than 4 hours. Althought i know I am lucky to get at least this much sleep, but it also leaves me with the concern that he might not be getting enough. During day time also he sleeps for 3-4 hours. He was born 2.6 Kgs and now after 2 months he has become 5.6 Kgs. Shall I wake him up for the regular 2 hours sleep or not?

I personally wouldnt wake him/her I believe that if their hungry they will wake up fo a feed, even babies wouldnt starve willingly. I have 3 kids and all 3 were very diffrent the one who slept the most and ate less was alot heavier compared to the other two and the one who ate the most was my tallest and skinniest. Go figure!!!

If your worried though maybe speak to your doctor?

Do whats right for you and your baby that leaves you feeling good, I find books are helpful to a point but they all conerdict one another too! Comes down to somebodies opinion on the subject

As long as you feed on demand while he's awake and he continues to grow and thrive and isn't dehydrated.... let him sleep! :)

Let the baby sleep! If he is healthy and growing normally, there is no need to wake him for feedings. We are born with certain survival instincts; if he's hungry, he'll let you know.
