My son just turned two years but he does not not wen say mama. When he wants something he just cries, I am really worried now. But when I call out his name he responds, should I be worried?

Hi Evelyn, thanks for responding. Mostly I respond to his cries than sounds. I do look at him and say "mama" and I can see it on his lips but it just can't come out and when I keep on saying the word mama he turns aside and laughs. But I will try what you have said before I give him whatever he is crying for. He pays a lot of attention to music on tv so much that if he hears a song from the bedroom he comes out running for that song. But he can't just say a word. Thanks Evelyn will keep updating.

When he cries out for something do you give it to him? Do you respond more to his cries or sounds he makes for items he wants or things he wants to do? You need to talk to him and tell him the words for things as he gestures for them. Make him say it.
