My 2 year old has gone from calling me mommy to calling me daddy. I correct her every time she does it and it has done no good. I am now trying to ignore her when she does it but it is not working. What should I do?

Lol! I chuckled when I read the title of your post. She's just testing it out. Don't make a big deal and eventually she'll stop. My daughter has to dance with "the prince" every time she puts a dress on...guess who's the prince?! Me :)

she may just be teasing you cuz she knows it bothers you a bit. i would go for the ignoring technique or when she calls you daddy asking for something either redirect to daddy or pretend you don't hear till she calls you momma. i would not worry bout it tho, it is just a phase im sure and she will get bored with it soon enough. it is a totally normal thing for little ones to do :o)

Yep, it's just a phase. Just keep referring to yourself as Mommy, and ignore it when she calls you Daddy. The bigger a deal you make out of it, the longer she'll persist.

it's probably just a phase, just go with it. the next phase will be that she'll learn your first name and begin calling you kathleen. obviously she knows the difference if she'd been calling you mommy - i'm willing to bet she'll drop it soon if you continue to not be bothered by it
