My daughter is mixed- her father is African American and I am Italian. Her hair is beyond unruly. I have tried every moisturizing product, oils, creams, treatments, etc., but her hair will not absorb any of them. She also twists her hair on one side when she is tired, turning part of her hair almost into dreads. I'm all for leaving it natural, but I can't even get a comb through it. I was it once a week with a moisturing shampoo, followed by a deep conditioner. During the week I spray a leave in conditioner in daily, and also use Moroccan oil. It is still incredibly dry and knots up. I don't know what to do! I love the natural curls but some days it looks like I don't know how to take care of her hair. It's so knotty I can't even get it into a ponytail. Please help!

Try 'circle of friends' shampoo and conditioner. My friend uses on her mixed baby and it's amazing, it also has a leave in spray..hope it helps, it's worth a shot.
