Yes it is. I feel so bad because everytime he gets sick it lasts for 2 weeks. I just want it to go away now.! Everytime he coughs he crys :/ also he still drinks his milk when he goes to bed...do you know if that makes it worse?
Keep him hydrated as best as you can, pedialyte drinks or popsicles are good. They say not to give kids under 4 or 6 childrens cough medicine, unfortunately. I just had this problem myself with my three year old. Children's Clariton might help dry up your child and that's safe for two year olds. I would go to a doctor if you're really concerned and see what they say. It sounds like a cold that will just have to run its course. I also read that if your child has a cold for more than three weeks then definitely see a doctor. There are also natural cough syrups two year olds can take, but I have only seen a little bit of improvement with those. I hope your little one gets better soon. Colds are no fun at all.

I realize this was 3 days ago that you were dealing with sickness so he may be well already. Have you ever tried essential oils? I use them and love them and have saved my kids and I from having to go to the doctor or using traditional synthetic medicines for over a couple years now. I've studied them the past few years and found them to be amazing and now I teach 'Dr. Mom' classes on how to use oils in place of medicine. Not here to pitch anything, but if you do want some natural remedies I can refer you to a few things. The cold/flu is no fun. If you want any specific suggestions then message me (if there's an option for that). Otherwise, I hope you're little one is feeling better, and you are staying well too.

Use the b.r.a.t diet I live by it when my kids r sick. Bananas rice apple juice or sauce and toast. Also pedialyte will stop vomiting and sometimes they just have to overcome it. If it persists for 3 days go to tje dr. Or e.r. the e.r. will give ashot to stop vomitting. Tje h1n1 flu is going around again and my entire family had it includimg a 5 month. So stay on top of fluids and make sure hesisn't getting to dehydrated.
I've always heard that milk can trigger the cough because it produces more phlegm and what not so you'll cough more. I try to stay away from milk especially at night. My daughter had this type of thing last year with the throwing up and they said avoid dairy and stick with the water and pedialyte.
