My daughter will be 4 in July of this year. I need some assistance on somethings here... First off, she has been going to the same daycare since she was 1 (She changed classes at just before 2 to a preschool room because they believed she was ready for more advanced teaching) She has been doing extremely well for the almost 2 years in that room, and has blossomed into a very intelligent child who knows her colors, numbers, letters. She can write her name, and we are tackling tying shoes soon. Lately however, she has become almost like a teenager. She no longer wants to go to school. she kicks up an attitude whenever she had to get ready (she dresses her self in the morning, brushes her teeth, she's very independent.) She has been making it difficult to leave her, but screaming and kicking when I drop her off and when ever I try to ask her why she doesn't want to go to school anymore she just crosses her arms and blows out air in my face. I'm getting frustrated because her teachers (who have been working with her for almost 2 years now) have no idea what could be causing such a change in attitude. She is in a room full of children her age, and some a little older (waiting for school in the fall). Is there something I am not doing right, can I be helping her get motivated for school, or am I completely missing something? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! I'm at my ropes end!
