Hans, get your facts straight! One oz of human milk has 21 calories, 1.3g fat, 2.1g carbs and 0.3g protein. Infant formula (similac instant) has 22 calories, 1.1g fat, 2.06g carbs and 0.5g protein. Years and years of research has enabled us to create formula that is perfectly adequate nutrition for an infant.
Your post was not helpful to the OP and was dismissive to all mother who have chosen to feed their babies formula.

An easy rule of thumb to gauge how much formula your baby should drink if the weight times 2 to 2.5 oz over 24 hours. So if you baby is 12.5 lbs, that would be about 25 ounces over 24 hours. Sometimes we are quick to compare out babies to other babies of the same age. And Dove and Jodi are completely right, as long as baby is bright eyed, gaining weight and meeting milestones you have nothing to worry about.

I agree with Dove. Think about when you sit down to dinner with a group of friends. You all eat a different amount because you are all different sizes, ages, maybe some are more active than others, and so on. Babies are the same. There is no one size fits all. As long as baby is happy and hydrated, and still growing and gaining weight, I wouldn't be concerned.

She is alert, curious, bright, and active.... Is she also growing and staying hydrated? If so... let her drink as much or as little as she wants. Babies have different appetites and there is nothing wrong w/ that.

Hans, how about you be respectful of people's choices. She didn't ask whether she should breastfeed, or why she couldn't, so your advice is irrelevant to the OP.

Most infants do not like cows milk formula, no matter how much pharmaceutical companies doctor it. At three months your child should still be on the (human) breast, rather than the tit of a cow. Human milk has 7 grams of carbohydrates to digest 1.1 grams of protein. Cows milk, on the other hand, has 4.6 grams of carbohydrates to digest 3.2 grams of protein. There is a huge difference!
Problems with supply are often related to the mother's dehydration, where the brain stops the loss of fluids out of self preservation, or the mother's diet, where spicy foods, nicotine, alcohol, or drugs make the milk unpatatable.
