My 3 month old suddenly hates bath time, WHY??

My daughter is now 3 months old and for the first 3 months of life she LOVED bath time! She would splash around and laugh and talk and then scream and cry when you took her out. Now she is the complete opposite. We put her in the bath, within 2 minutes she is crying and throwing herself around but as soon as we take her out she is fine and wants to play. I have no idea what happened to change her behavior but it is getting frustrating. Bath time was an essential part of her nightly routine and now her nightly routine is going off course because she refuses to take a bath. Any thoughts, ideas, advice????

She could be afraid, might be too cold, it could be various reasons. Are you bathing her in the tub or sink? Our son when through this for a while so we bathed with him, then he went to showers, and now he likes his bath again, but he is almost 2. Try to find out what is scaring her. I know we put a blanket around our son for a while in the tub, sounds dumb I know, but it made him feel safe. and kept him a little warmer.

Do you lie on her back? Maybe she has an ear infection. Lying down and water can aggravate it. Although if that's the case she'd probably cry when in bed too... Something to consider though:)

We have the same problem with our baby girl. We tried everything, but she just refuses to take baths. So we started giving her showers in stead of baths. She still gets somewhat upset about it, but does not cry anymore.
